The structure of the organization comprises
of the Board, Core Management team, Associate Consultants
and Programme, Administrative and Financial staff. The organization
maintains a fairly horizontal structure. However, for administrative
and reporting purposes, a hierarchy exists. Appendix A provides
the organizational structure.
The Board is made of 2 permanent members and 2 nominal members.
The permanent members are: Hajiya Maryam Ibrahim Salihu
(Chairperson) and Mohammed Kudu Bawa (Chief Executive Officer).
The Board is the apex arm of the organization and is responsible
for ensuring the sustainable growth and development of the
organization. The main functions of the Board include policy
formulation, coordination and fundraising.
Core
Management Team:
The
core team while reporting to the Board coordinates day to
day management of the organization. The core team comprises
of the CEO, ACEO, 4 Program Officers and many associate
consultants. The main functions of the core team are 1)
translation of the policies of the organization 2) coordination
of the organizational activities 3) Ensures effective and
efficient utilization of organizational resources (human,
material and finance) and 4) designing/developing concept
notes and implementation frameworks.
Associate
Consultants:
The
associate consultants include individuals and organizations
engage in undertaking ICS services or jobs. The Associate
Consultants support the execution of implementation frameworks and strategies under the supervision
of the CEO.
Program
Staff:
The
Program Staffs are directly supervised by CEO and are responsible
for day to day execution of organizational activities. The
main functions include 1) identifying or initiating projects
2) developing preliminary frameworks for executing projects
or activities 3) overseeing day to day office running and
4) writing proposals.
